Founder & lead host
Amy
Blondie in China
Meet Amy: born and raised in Sydney, hooked on China since a high school history class in 2011, and the face behind Blondie in China across YouTube (600k+), Instagram (370k+), and Chinese social media (2M+). She first landed in Shanghai as an exchange student at Fudan in 2014, went back for intensive Mandarin study at Tsinghua in 2017, and has spent the better part of a decade eating, filming, and getting wonderfully lost across more than 60 Chinese cities, from Chongqing hotpot joints to Gansu grasslands.
Amy shares a side of China that many people never get to see: the neighbourhood restaurants, regional specialties, and everyday moments that rarely make it into guidebooks. These tours are the natural extension of that mission. Instead of watching from behind a screen, you’ll get to experience it for yourself, exploring China alongside someone who knows it deeply and loves sharing it.

Food Adventure Host
Yujia He
Southwest China
Yujia He is a prolific literary translator and writer whose work sits at the vibrant intersection of language, culture, and gastronomy. She has published over 50 books, most notably the acclaimed works of British food writer Fuchsia Dunlop, including Shark's Fin and Sichuan Pepper, Invitation to a Banquet, and The Food of Sichuan.
Her deep immersion in the culinary world extends beyond translation into original storytelling. Yujia is a frequent contributor of non-fiction features to food and culture magazines and serves as a scriptwriter for several documentary series. Driven by an insatiable curiosity for the natural world and human expression, she also hosts the pan-culture podcast Outsiders, where she explores topics ranging from literature and birding to nature exploration.
A seasoned traveler and dedicated "food hunter," Yujia frequently organizes urban feasts and guides enthusiasts through the rich culinary landscapes of Chinese cities. In 2027, she will bring her expertise in Chinese food and cultural history to a series of food tours in collaboration with Amy, continuing her lifelong mission to share the exciting stories behind the flavors we love.

Food Adventure Host
Peter Zhou
Guangdong
If you have watched Amy's channel, you will already know Peter. He has been one of her most-featured guests over the years and is her go-to person whenever she is exploring Guangdong Province.
Peter is a Guangzhou-based food guide and longtime collaborator who knows the Pearl River Delta inside out. Born and raised in Guangdong, he has spent years exploring the region's food traditions, from yum cha houses in old Guangzhou to family-run kitchens in the Hakka countryside.
He has a deep love for Cantonese culinary heritage and the regional differences that make Guangdong food so rich. Whether it is tracking down the best roast goose in Shunde or explaining the philosophy behind a perfect bowl of congee, Peter brings the kind of insider knowledge that turns a meal into a story.
He is looking forward to sharing the place he calls home with all of you.
